In 1972 Peter and Norma Sharpe decided to make their hobby into a business by starting to sell caravans in the gardens of their Spanish style bungalow in Irchester Road Rushden, their home giving the firm its name today, (this theme now being strongly used at their Wellingborough Road premises today).

After only three months, commercial premises were needed and the operation moved to Northampton Road where a small portable accessory shop was built and a larger display of caravans shown.

The White Arches Caravans Group celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2012/13 . With joint Managing Directors Steve Sharpe and brother in law Nick White supported by their wives Diane Sharpe and Jo White they are very proud to still be a family business.

The Company has grown over its history to become one of the best and most successful and respected Caravan and Motorhome Dealerships in the Country. The business which now employs over 70 members of staff, and has two dedicated branches the largest site and original premises being White Arches Caravans Rushden, with the dedicated Motorhome Branch; White Arches Motorhomes at Little Irchester on the A45 Wellingborough.

With superb facilities offering dedicated indoor showroom displays and extensive workshop facilities as well as "Archies" Coffee Shop and then expanding to include a fantastic dedicated Motorhome Branch, the business is a far cry from the humble beginnings in 1972.

Thank you for all your help, and also a big thanks to the accessory shop manager, Paul I think? Who noticed we spent significantly in the shop on our collection day so offered us a good deal on our purchase. Thanks again and thoroughly recommend your company.

This is the third caravan that we have purchased from you, and Mr Rootham has always given us a good service and trade-in price. Our demonstration was in a nice warm caravan on a very cold day. Your accounts office relieved us of our cash very gently! With thanks Sue and David S.

Really pleased with Matthew's help and support and knowledge regarding our new caravan. He is a great salesman and we would definitely recommend white arches to others. We feel he went above and beyond his duty to support us in our new purchase - which we are very pleased about.

We did have a slight problem on collecting our new caravan. This was concerning the transfer of our mover from the caravan we traded in. However, Paul was very attentive and couldn't have been more helpful. Even though we were delayed he still took the time to explain the new caravan system fully to us. Very professional.

Our new Swift Conqueror 560 had a very serious leak after collection, this was no fault of White Arches because it was a badly fitted view panel as supplied by Swift. Rick from sales and James from service promptly and correctly dealt with it and arranged to it to be returned and replaced. They could not have been more helpful given the circumstances and we are very grateful for the help and speedy assistance we received and would like them to be thanked by the company for their excellent customer service. It makes us confident we chose the right dealer to do business with Our Replacement unit is going out on its first trip next week and hopefully all will be well.

Paul was extremely polite and courteous with us and also patient as we were first time buyers and totally new to caravanning. He explained everything to us in simple understandable detail, and took us through everything in respect of using the caravan. He was very knowledgeable about the business and checked our understanding every step of the way.

After an awkward start regarding a pricing issue, we couldn't be more happy with the service we have received from the staff at White Arches. We are very happy to recommend and hopefully we will receive the same standard of service when we come to purchase the awning etc.
